The Truth Is A Bitter Pill To Swallow

People say they want truth and honesty, but they really don’t. At least not Godly truth that is. No, most people simply want someone to agree with them, feeding them a lie that justifies their sin and point of view. “It’s OK for me to post risky pictures, as long as I say it promotes body positivity and helps my self-esteem, it doesn’t matter if it goes against the Bible or not.” “It’s OK for me to talk about people, because it might be true. Who cares if it hurts their reputation, I have my own to think of.” The problem with this is, no matter how many people or times you justify what you do it is still a lie, which will not only poison the person saying it, but everyone that encounters it. Everything we do or say, has a ripple effect that goes from person to person. And each ripple’s impact can last a lifetime. I hear so many people say, they don’t like what the world has become. To that I say this, “then change it!” How you ask? By being the change, but for lasting change, it must first be a change according to God’s word and not our own. If we as Christians truly stopped living as the world and instead truly lived like Christ, we could make lasting change that would make this world a better place. I also want to bring out this one point, being Christ like is about loving people yes, but not loving their sin. Sometimes in order to truly love someone, we must call out the sin. We don’t have to be a jerk about it, but we need to tell the truth regardless of if it hurts or not. For example, if my friend was driving home and the bridge was out up ahead but no sign showed it was, if I as their friend knew it was out and didn’t warn them. Was I truly their friend? Of course not, if they were my friend, I would do anything to warn them. Sin is the same way, it takes out the bridge leading to Heaven and if we as Christians don’t warn people, they will simply drive off into Hell! As Christians if we truly want to see this Nation come back to God, we must first get ourselves in line with God’s agenda for this Nation. In other words, if we pray for a Godly President, then we shouldn’t complain when he gives us one, simply because that President doesn’t look or speak exactly like we think he should. Instead we should look at the ways he lines up with God’s agenda. If he stands for religious freedom, the rights for Christians to speak freely, stands against what God stands against and stands for Israel. Then we should pray for and stand behind said President. Also, by the way, if I haven’t completely offended you yet, I am talking about PRESIDENT TRUMP! God has placed this man in office in response to those who have prayed for Godly change in this Country! I truly believe if the church as a whole does not come together and stand for God’s man in the White House, we will never see the revival we so longed and prayed for. Before you say, God couldn’t possibly use him, let me remind you of this scripture. 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.”
